With most of the world under a lockdown due to the Coronavirus, it is easy to feel overwhelmed.
Much is at stake. People are suffering, starving, and many even distanced from their loved ones.
It is only human to feel pained by the growing agony brought about by the pandemic.
With governments world-over finding it difficult to manage the situation, trying to impose one restriction after another, it is easy for one to feel like not only their livelihood, but also their liberty has been taken away from them.
What would be the right thing to do in such a situation? Complain? Get Angry? Or Depressed?
While all of these would appear as legitimate responses, there is another way.
It begins with accepting the fact, that now is not the time to think of thriving, or waiting for the lockdown to end.
It is not the time to worry about when things will get back to normal.
Now is the time to focus only on one thing – survival.
While the whole planet and all of humanity is collectively suffering, we cannot afford to think of ourselves individually. There is a need to widen our view, and see that we are in this together, and if we can survive this, it is together. There is no other way.
As far as you and I are concerned, it does not matter where the virus came from, it does not matter who is handling the situation in what manner, what matters is that we survive this.
Which is why, the right thing to do during the lockdown, is to simply live, and not worry about loss of income, mounting debts, and lack of social freedom.
Survive today and you can thrive tomorrow.
It is hard no doubt, but we’re more resilient than any hardship.
Let us come together as one human consciousness, and in the face of calamity, display the true strength and character of what it is like to truly be human.
Victory then is certain, and failing is not even an option.
